The first workshop to familiarize with the evaluation indicators of the country’s medical sciences educational and research institutions to attract international students was held
With the efforts of the Supreme Council for Medical Sciences Planning of the Ministry of Health, the first workshop "Introduction to the Evaluation Indicators of the Country's Educational Institutions in the Field of Attracting International Students" was held at Qalb Hotel in Tehran. Some representatives from Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences including Dr Aghdas Dehghani, the Dean of the International Campus, Dr Kolsum Qasemi and Ms. Madani from the International Affairs Office were present at this workshop.

Hello! My name is Mubarra Sarwar. I'm currently studying medicine at Hormozgan university of medical sciences. I'll be staying here in Iran for about 7 years. I hope the journey will go very well because I really like being here. It's such a good place in addition the people here are so nice. Our university is no doubt the best place to study and explore new concepts of medicine because there are laboratories for each and every subject where students can do experiments and experience different scenarios. It is really good being here around such a good faculty that provides us with everything that we need. The staff of university including dean, professors and others are all so good and caring people. We had online classes for our first semester so it was really difficult for us to study like that but our teachers were always in touch with us and they taught us in the best way they could. I personally appreciate all the efforts our university put to provide students with a good environment. Online classes are themselves a challenge but the way university tackled this matter is worth praising. Talking about dormitory we are provided with all the necessary daily use facilities. The ladies at the hostel are very humble and kind. We just need to give them a call and they solve our issues on the spot. Summing up my words at the end I sincerely want to say thank you to our university for owning us just as their own country's students. Hope this journey goes well till the end.

Hello, my name is Muqaddas Fatima and I am currently studying Medicine. The duration of the course will be approximately 7 years. I aim to complete the course with a distinction and provide medical assistance locally at Bandar Abbas. This is the reason why I chose Hormozan University of Medical Sciences, as it supports students for the long-term with the wealth of experience. Furthermore, I have received great hospitality whilst living at the University, with the friendliest staff and teachers who are always ready to assist students whenever assistance is required. The city is full of life, and I feel safe despite coming from Pakistan and not knowing the local language as the citizens are respectful and welcoming anywhere I go. The advantages of studying at HUMS is the Islamic culture that is integrated in the teachings at the university, this advantage helps us to study medicine with an Islamic approach which makes me feel confident. The challenges I face is the language, but in time I will overcome this, as with any new language, the more I practice the better I become. Iran has such a rich and diverse culture than there is endless history to explore, I hope to learn and visit majority of the art and historical artifacts in Iran. Additionally, I also enjoy the food that is offered in Iran and I also aim to explore every single cuisine that is available to me. Lastly, my suggestion to prospective students is to welcome the idea of studying at HUMS as you will learn and gain fantastic experience and meet important people who will change your lives in the next chapter of your ambitious life who will also support you on your journey

I am Syeda Fareeha Ali Najafi, an eager first-year medical student at Hormozan University of Medical Sciences. My journey on this path began just a month ago, and I am excited to share my early experiences. It's only been a month since I began this exciting journey that's set to span the next seven years. I picked Hormozan University of Medical Sciences because it just felt right. Their reputation for molding future doctors and their dedication to top-notch medical education aligned perfectly with my dreams. In the short time I've been here, I've met some amazing professors who've made learning about medicine truly fascinating. Interacting with fellow students has been eye-opening, and we've quickly become like a small academic family. My dorm room has become my cozy corner for studying and resting after a long day. HUMS has given me access to advanced medical tools and some brilliant minds. But, let's be honest, adjusting to a new place isn't all sunshine. Learning the local ways and getting used to a different language takes time. Still, each small step forward feels like an achievement. Being in Iran has been like stepping into a whole new world. Nestled on the southern coast, The city blends history and modern life in a way that's both intriguing and beautiful. And the people I've met have been welcoming beyond words. To anyone considering HUMS and the experience of Bandar Abbas, I encourage embracing every moment, including the hurdles.
